My sister's wedding just happened to occur on the hottest day this year, and everyone at the ceremony was sunburnt. Somehow, with all my luck in the world, I managed to have the worst burn and was constantly told how I was the same colour as my (red) bridemaid's dress. I thought it was hilarious too, until it started to sting and peel horrifically in patches a few days later.

Sometimes denim shorts aren't always the solution when it's over 40 degrees - I tend to turn to palazzo pants and flowing maxi skirts also. Minus the accessories, this outfit would be my lounging-on-a-beach-chair-or-hammock-on-an-island look. I wish.
