I don't know if it's just me or if it's common to be forgetful
all the time
. After shooting with
in Surry Hills, I jumped out of the car - too preoccupied with goodbyes and see you laters - and forgot my beloved, and always neglected, camera under the seat.
But... after a week of being pathetic and not taking photos, I took cues from
one of my favourite TED talks ever
, learnt to embrace the limitation... and shot with my first ever owned SLR. To be honest, it's not that much of a constraint but ever since my 5D - I outgrew it a little. In general, I think it's a beautiful motto to live by. Instead of constantly worrying and obsessing over things we don't have or can't afford, we should (warning: cheesiness ahead) appreciate and make the best out of what we
already have
.
Don't forget to smile at the sky for being beautiful day-in-and-out or at yourself in the mirror, learning to love yourself - flaws and all - and letting your true soul shine. If you're anything like me, a little coffee in the morning goes a long way in making me more appreciative ;-)
